The Concepts of Video Technology course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge of modern digital video production, video recording techniques, and professional post-production workflows. The module Introduction to Video Technology covers the fundamentals of analog vs digital video, frame rates, resolution (HD, Full HD, 4K, 8K), aspect ratio, color theory, and video signal processing. In Camera and Image Sensors, students explore DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, cinema cameras, CMOS and CCD sensors, the exposure triangle (ISO, aperture, shutter speed), white balance, focal length, and lens types. The Video Formats and Compression module explains video codecs such as H.264, H.265 (HEVC), ProRes, MP4, MOV, bitrate control, video quality optimization, and streaming formats used for YouTube, OTT platforms, and broadcast media. This course builds strong technical knowledge in digital cinematography, video technology concepts, and professional video production systems.
